The European test publishing community is growing, and Europe’s measurement scientists are making significant contributions to the advancement of testing and its related technologies. European researchers contribute significantly to the advancement of the field of measurement science and its related testing technologies. In addition to this the EU is growing. This means that the test publishers of Europe are becoming central figures in the world of test publishing.

In response to these developments, the Association of Test Publishers (ATP) has established a European division (European ATP, E-ATP for short) to provide a collective voice to influence both European governments and the European Union to establish policies and guidelines that are advantageous to members and test users, and that advance the position of the industry and the science that supports it.

E-ATP provides the foundation for test publishers in North America and Europe to form a common position and policy on a range of testing issues such as Internet testing, intellectual property protection, privacy, best practices for the cultural adaptation of tests, interoperability and innovative testing methodologies.
